Meaning Recall

Recall a selected meaning before revealing the saved answer and usage example.

Purpose

Recall a selected meaning before revealing the saved answer and usage example.

Prepare your deck

Use bundled sense snapshots, or write your own notes and designate them as answers. Missing answers block starting this activity.

Recommended timer: Off. Select entries, choose prepared or shuffled order, and review notes before starting. All settings are editable in the workspace.

Run the activity

  1. Use bundled sense snapshots, or write your own notes and designate them as answers. Missing answers block starting this activity.
  2. Review the selected meaning for every entry. Choose Meaning Recall and leave the timer off initially.
  3. Reveal the word first and recall its meaning. Choose Reveal Answer to compare the actual selected definition or answer note.
  4. Choose Finish & Next after comparison. Hide covers the round; resume and undo also return covered with a paused timer.

An example

For “chair” in its furniture sense, recall “a seat for one person with a back,” then compare the displayed answer. Do not substitute an unrelated sense such as a professorship.

Variations and printing

Use a timer only after reviewing the words. Print the recall worksheet with a separate answer section to keep each answer matched to its saved sense. This is a practice tool, with no grading or learning-outcome guarantee.

Useful packs

Sessions save a fixed snapshot. Editing a source deck does not change a running activity. Resume returns covered and paused; starting a new activity requires ending or resuming the existing one.
