Purpose
Use movement and expression to communicate a prompt without speaking.
Prepare your deck
Choose Easy Acting or the Charades Challenge selection. Review mobility and comfort needs for your own group.
Recommended timer: 60 seconds. Select entries, choose prepared or shuffled order, and review notes before starting. All settings are editable in the workspace.
Run the activity
- Choose Easy Acting or the Charades Challenge selection. Review mobility and comfort needs for your own group.
- Select Act It Out, usually with shuffled order and 60 seconds. No props are required by the built-in scenario selections.
- Control who sees the screen, then Reveal to the performer. Mime the action while others guess.
- Finish & Next marks a revealed round completed; Skip consumes a round without requiring reveal. The next prompt remains covered.
An example
For “rowing a boat,” sit or stand comfortably and mime pulling two oars. Keep the action gentle and adapt it as needed.
Variations and printing
Play seated, allow more time, or use simpler selections. Printed prompt cards can replace the shared screen. The Lab does not track teams or scores.
Useful packs
Sessions save a fixed snapshot. Editing a source deck does not change a running activity. Resume returns covered and paused; starting a new activity requires ending or resuming the existing one.
